Overview

Mercator MedSystems, Inc. (“Mercator”, or the “Company”) is a medical device company focused on the clinical and commercial development of FDA cleared and CE marked, catheter-based, Micro-infusion technologies, including the Bullfrog® Micro-Infusion Device for the local delivery of pharmacologics and biologics to the peripheral vasculature. The Company has clinical studies underway in Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Below the Knee (BTK) Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). Mercator’s platform technology lends itself to the additional targeted delivery of therapeutics and regenerative biologics for coronary and peripheral cardiovascular applications and for denervation in hypertension.

Kirk P. Seward, Ph.D.

President and CEO

Dr. Seward has over 20 years of experience in the medical device field. He is the inventor of the Mercator Micro-Infusion Catheter and led its development from prototype through FDA 510(k) marketing clearance and clinical development. Prior to co-founding Mercator MedSystems Dr. Seward was a staff principal investigator at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He completed his doctoral studies in mechanical engineering at the University of California at Berkeley, and his masters and bachelors in mechanical engineering at MIT. He has authored more than 50 patent applications.
